Do you have games that perhaps are looking for a new home? There is nothing wrong with the games, but for one reason or another, they haven’t been getting to the table enough. Need more space for other games?

Bring your games to KingCon! and see if they will sell in our Bring and Buy (BnB) event!

This event will be on Saturday at KingCon! from 11 am – 2 pm!

A valid KingCon! pass is required to participate (sell and/or shop).

What is the Bring and Buy Event?

For those who are unfamiliar with this format, the idea is that instead of having an auctioneer managing individual lots for sale, there is a dedicated space set aside with all the items for sale on display. Any attendee can peruse the items and if they find something they would like to buy, simply pick it up and bring it up to the cashier to pay for it for the appropriate listed price. The sale is cash only. There are several banks in Kentville where you can find an ATM.

How do I sell games at the Bring and Buy event?

PRIOR TO ARRIVING AT KINGCON! YOU MUST:

It is required that you download the Seller Registration Form and Item Sheet.

STEP 1: Complete the Bring and Buy Seller Registration form (see below). The Registration form provides KingCon! your contact information and a full list of all your games for sale (and other pertinent info). When you arrive to drop off your games, you will be assigned a seller number.

For 20 items or less: BnB Seller Registration Form 1-20

For items 21 – 40 items: BnB Seller Registration Form 21-40

STEP 2: Print Item Sheets (see below). There are four to a printed page. Fill out one Item Sheet for each of your games before you come to KingCon!   Attach each Item Sheet securely to its corresponding game (Painter’s Tape works well).

BnB Item Sheet

To avoid the risk of losing game pieces, sellers are expected to properly secure their games before putting them out to sell (e.g. painters tape, elastic band, etc.).

You set the price that you want for each item (note all prices must be in whole dollar amounts – e.g. $10, $40, etc. NOT $10.50).

We do not have extra room at the convention for you to label games the morning of the event.  We are anticipating a large selection of items in the sale so we ask that sellers limit their offerings to no more than 40 items.

ON THE SATURDAY AT KINGCON!

Bring items to sell to the designated Bring and Buy area on Saturday morning between 9:15 am and 10:30 am. No items will be accepted if you arrive at the area after 10:30am.

You will be assigned a Seller Number and you will need to add this number to each of your games on the individual Item Sheets. This identifies the item as yours.

All your items should be labelled with its own Item Sheet. You will need to have it completed before you drop off your games.

Help us plan the Bring and Buy by letting us know you plan to participate. You don’t need to tell us what games, how many games, etc., right now, but please ‘register’ for the event listed here.

How to set an item’s price

It is up to the seller what price to put on each of their items or lot of items. When determining a price, it may be helpful to consider factors such as the current price of the item new, the condition of your item, the availability of the item (e.g., is it out of print?), and how eager you are to find it a new home. There are likely other factors that could be important to you, but these are a starting point. Once the items are registered for the event the price can no longer be changed other than as designated on the registration form.

You may set up to three different prices based on the time that the item sells. We will only accept items starting on Saturday from 9:15 am until 10:30 am after which the auction begins at 11 am and will continue to run until 2 pm. Each item can have its price change (at your discretion) at 12 pm, and 1 pm. This allows potential buyers to choose to wait for a price drop and pick the game up at a lower amount if it’s still around for purchase. Again, you don’t have to alter the prices at different time slots if you don’t want to.  Example: Game item has been listed for 11 am price of $40, 12 pm price of $30, 1 pm price of $20.

Seller Proceeds

Seller Proceeds will be available at the end of the Bring and Buy. Proceeds will be available starting at 2:30 pm. Please be patient. We will do our best to process seller proceeds and the return of unsold games as efficiently as possible. Payout of proceeds will finish at 3:30 pm.

If you intend to leave the convention before 2:30 pm, then you shouldn’t enter any items into the auction as we will NOT be paying out any proceeds from the sale prior to the scheduled time. Any items not picked up by 4 pm will become the property of KTABS.

The cost of selling: There will be a nominal fee paid to KTABS for each item or lot which sells amounting to $1.00 or 10% (whichever is greater).
